We at Empire Yard Maintenance use a unique way of seeding and re-seeding
lawns. We use a 4 step process that, when watered correctly, has a 95%
success rate. First we start by laying down a healthy base of new soil. Second
we lay down the grass seed on top of the new soil base. Third we lay down a
paper pellet called grass seed accelerator. This product serves several
purposes; first it soaks up 8 times its weight in water to keep the seed moist
during the germination period, then it has a small amount of fertilizer in it to jump
start the seed once it has germinated. Last we apply a thin layer of topsoil to
protect the seed from the sun and any animals that may be after it.
